AV staff provides the following client support services:

• client training on proper operation of our equipment and specific
software applications relative to use of our equipment or services

• set-up carts of client owned equipment and offer complete training in its proper use

• assist clients with equipment recommendations and procurement

• consult with departments renovating teaching spaces or conference rooms
with integrated AV systems

• collaborate with outside contractors and provide project management

• respond to emergency calls regarding equipment troubles, regardless of ownership,
in HSC and SBUH departmental conference rooms

• troubleshoot and correct problems, either over the phone or through rapid dispatch
to the site, allowing prompt start or smooth continuation of scheduled events

• courtesy repairs to audio and video cassettes and minor maintenance/repairs
to client owned equipment

• routinely provides maintenance reports to the East Campus Physical Plant
regarding deficiencies in lecture halls and classrooms

• acts as liason with Public Safety to report and resolve security issues

AV staff provides the following services relative to the centralized classroom pool:

• Complete access to the Lecture Hall’s AV system is available Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All installed systems are checked by a technician prior to first
scheduled use. While AV staff makes regular daily efforts to educate and train users
of the lecture halls, system demonstrations can be scheduled individually or by groups
or requested prior to a specific class or event.
